To buy, or to rent & invest – that is the question

Hey everybody, I know that this is well past its due date, but I found this very interesting read on Moneyweb. An analyst discusses the idea of never purchasing a residential property, and instead renting in perpetuity and using the resultant excess funds to invest in index tracking ETFs. I found it a very interesting read and thought that it ties in with the discussion we had in class on whether one’s home can be considered an asset.
